Tripura Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury reviewed development projects at Ranirbazar Municipal Council, stressing transparent, efficient and citizen-friendly public services. He directed officials to ensure timely execution of public welfare works, strengthen coordination and maintain quality governance to meet people’s expectations.
Reaffirming the Tripura government’s commitment to transparent, efficient and citizen-friendly governance, Tripura Tourism Minister and Cabinet Spokesperson Sushanta Chowdhury chaired a comprehensive review meeting at the conference hall of the Ranirbazar Municipal Council on Friday. The meeting focused on assessing the progress of ongoing development projects and strengthening the delivery of quality civic services for residents of the municipal area.
The review meeting was attended by the Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, elected representatives, municipal officials and local leaders, who discussed the status of various development initiatives currently being implemented under the Ranirbazar Municipal Council.
During the meeting, Minister Chowdhury conducted a detailed assessment of the progress of ongoing infrastructure and public welfare projects. Discussions also covered the challenges faced during implementation, potential opportunities for accelerating development and future plans aimed at improving civic amenities across the municipality.
Addressing the gathering, the Minister reiterated that the state government remains firmly committed to ensuring that every citizen receives efficient, transparent and high-quality public services. He emphasized that development projects must be completed within the stipulated timeframe so that the intended benefits reach the public without unnecessary delays.
Highlighting the importance of coordination among all stakeholders, Chowdhury instructed municipal officials, elected representatives and other concerned authorities to work with sincerity, dedication and a strong sense of responsibility. He said teamwork and effective coordination are essential for the successful implementation of public welfare programmes and infrastructure projects.
The Minister further stressed that transparency in governance and accountability in project execution should remain top priorities for every department. According to him, citizen satisfaction depends not only on launching development initiatives but also on ensuring their timely completion and maintaining the quality of services provided by civic bodies.
The meeting also reviewed the progress of several ongoing civic infrastructure projects and examined ways to address implementation bottlenecks. Officials exchanged views on improving administrative efficiency and enhancing coordination between different departments to ensure smooth execution of development works.
Chowdhury noted that the government’s development agenda is centred on improving the quality of life of citizens through better governance, upgraded civic infrastructure and responsive public service delivery. He urged all departments to maintain regular monitoring of projects and resolve issues promptly to avoid delays.
Reaffirming the government’s commitment to sustainable development, the Minister said the administration is determined to continue the momentum of progress across urban areas while fulfilling the expectations of the people through accountable governance and effective implementation of welfare initiatives.
