Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of Tripura strongly opposed the countrywide strike called by Farmers’ Unions on September 27.
“Bandh is the legacy of CPI-M and their organizations. They call bandh on a routine basis and the objective of such bandhs remains nothing but to disrupt normal life affecting the economic growth of the country,” BJP state spokesman Subrata Chakraborty told the media.
Highlighting the positive aspects proposed in the three Agriculture laws, he strongly opposed the Bandh of September 27.
Meanwhile, the BJP also hailed the state government’s decision for regularization of TET-qualified SSA teachers and recruitment in various posts including Lab Technicians.
Speaking to the media on Wednesday at BJP state office, Chakraborty also launched a verbal attack on the Leader of Opposition.
He said the Opposition Leader was trying to misguide the people whereas the people were receiving benefits of various welfare schemes without any political affiliation.
Chakraborty said the CPI-M and its organizations had organized at least 95-96 political programmes from August 2 last to September 21 this month but the opposition party claims that they were not being allowed for political activities.
Addressing the press conference, he made an appeal to the Opposition parties to play a constructive role.
