Harry Kane’s stunning hat-trick powered Bayern Munich to a dominant 5-1 Bundesliga finale victory over Cologne as the German champions lifted the league trophy after another sensational attacking season.

Bayern Munich ended its Bundesliga campaign in emphatic fashion with a commanding 5-1 victory over Cologne on Saturday as the newly crowned German champion celebrated lifting the league trophy in front of home supporters.

England captain Harry Kane delivered another memorable performance by scoring a sensational hat-trick, capping off an extraordinary debut Bundesliga season with one more clinical display in Munich.

Bayern started aggressively despite Cologne sitting deep defensively during the opening stages. The home side found an early breakthrough in the 10th minute when Kane connected perfectly with a cross from Lennart Karl to give Bayern the lead. Just three minutes later, Kane doubled the advantage after a free-kick delivery involving Joshua Kimmich created confusion inside the Cologne penalty area.

Although Bayern appeared fully in control, Cologne briefly stunned the home crowd in the 18th minute. Said El Mala capitalized on a costly midfield error from Jamal Musiala, sprinted through the Bayern half and calmly finished past returning goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.

The champions reacted immediately. Midfielder Tom Bischof restored Bayern’s two-goal cushion in the 22nd minute with a powerful long-range strike that pushed Bayern beyond the remarkable 120-goal mark for the Bundesliga season. Bayern continued to dominate possession and attacking opportunities before halftime, with Luis Diaz denied by Cologne goalkeeper Marvin Schwabe, while Musiala struck the post shortly before the break.

Cologne improved slightly after halftime following tactical changes from coach Rene Wagner. Substitute Linton Maina added more attacking energy for the visitors, and Lennart Karl nearly scored after hitting the outside of the post. Musiala also came close again as Bayern maintained attacking pressure throughout the second half.

Kane finally sealed the result in the 69th minute with a superb long-range finish following an impressive forward run from Leon Goretzka. The goal completed Kane’s hat-trick and highlighted Bayern’s relentless attacking quality.

The emotional moment of the evening came when Goretzka, making what was reported to be his final appearance for Bayern after eight years at the club, left the field to a standing ovation from supporters inside the stadium. Bayern fans paid tribute to the midfielder for his long contribution to the club’s domestic success.

Substitute Nicolas Jackson added the fifth goal in the 83rd minute, scoring with his first touch after entering the match to complete another dominant Bayern performance.

Elsewhere in the Bundesliga, Borussia Dortmund secured second place after a 2-0 victory against Werder Bremen. RB Leipzig finished third despite suffering a heavy 4-1 defeat to Freiburg, whose victory secured qualification for the UEFA Conference League.

Stuttgart claimed the final UEFA Champions League qualification spot following a 2-2 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt, while Bayer Leverkusen settled for sixth place after a 1-1 draw with Hamburg.
