17th edition of ELECRAMA 2027 launched in New Delhi

Chairperson of Central Electricity Authority, Ghanshyam Prasad, today formally launched the 17th edition of ELECRAMA 2027- the world’s largest electrical show – in New Delhi. The event is being organised by the Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers’ Association. In his address, Mr Prasad said that India has the potential to become the leading hydro pump storage capacity and can easily surpass the US and Japan, who are right now at number two and number three, with roughly 22 and 27 gigawatt of hydro pump storage capacity.
He noted that India currently has around 7.5 gigawatt. He called upon the Indian electrical industry to strive for 100 percent self-reliance in manufacturing and supply chains to ensure the nation’s energy security. He also unveiled the logo of ELECRAMA 2027 during the event. Chairman of ELECRAMA 2027, Hartek Singh said that the focus areas of this edition will be sustainability, innovation, automation, quality, safety and reliability.
Mr Singh said that the event expects to have 11 hundred exhibitors across the globe, and is targeting nearly 25 thousand B2B meetings to drive meaningful business outcomes. The 5 day event will begin from 20th February next year and will continue till 24th of February in Greater Noida. Germany will be the partner country in this edition of the event. ELECRAMA is the flagship showcase of the Indian Electrical Industry ecosystem and the largest standalone show in the electrical and allied equipment industry.
