The state-level Republic Day function was held at the Assam Rifles Ground in Agartala, where Governor Reddy Nallu unfurled the National Flag in the presence of Chief Minister Manik Saha, members of the state cabinet, senior civil and police officials, security personnel, and a large number of students and citizens. A “Lakhpati Didi” refers to a woman associated with a self-help group whose annual household income exceeds Rs 1 lakh, reflecting financial independence and sustainable livelihood creation.

The Governor also acknowledged the contributions of various stakeholders, including government departments, self-help groups, security forces, and community organizations, in driving inclusive development across the state. He emphasized that the spirit of the Republic lies in unity amid diversity and mutual respect among cultures and communities.
