The Government of Tripura has appointed Dilip Kumar Chakma, a retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, as the new Chairman of the Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC), marking an important administrative change in the state’s constitutional body.
According to an official notification issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), the appointment has been made in accordance with Article 316 of the Constitution of India. The notification stated that the Governor of Tripura has approved Chakma’s appointment with effect from the date he assumes charge.
Dilip Kumar Chakma is a seasoned bureaucrat with decades of administrative experience across multiple departments of the Tripura government. At present, he is holding the additional responsibility of Commissioner of the Agartala Municipal Corporation, a key urban governance position.
