BJP MP Biplab Kumar Deb promises to shut all illegal syndicates in West Bengal within seven days if BJP forms the government, pledging to restore prosperity and rights to farmers and citizens.
West Tripura BJP MP and West Bengal in-charge, Biplab Kumar Deb, has made a bold promise to the people of Bengal, stating that if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) comes to power in the state, all illegal syndicates operating in Bengal will be shut down within just seven days.
Speaking at a public meeting held in Jalpaiguri Sadar assembly constituency on Friday, Deb highlighted the rampant influence of syndicates in Bengal’s governance and economy. “West Bengal is endowed with abundant natural and economic resources. The problem is not the scarcity of resources, but the control of these resources by illegal syndicates,” he asserted. According to Deb, these syndicates siphon off revenue generated in the state, preventing these funds from entering the government’s official budget.
“The money that should have been deposited into the state treasury is being pocketed by unconstitutional elements,” Deb said, emphasizing that the eradication of such illegal networks is critical to ensuring development in Bengal.
Deb described Bengal as a land of prosperity, stressing that the state does not require new infrastructure projects to flourish. “What Bengal already has is enough,” he said, underlining that the focus must be on eliminating corruption and mismanagement that have long plagued the state’s governance.
Taking a sharp dig at the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) and its leader Mamata Banerjee, Deb accused the party of using political strategies to block BJP’s outreach efforts. “Mamata Banerjee rose to power by mobilizing the people against the CPI(M), and today, she is using the same tactics to suppress the BJP,” Deb said.
He pointed out that the TMC is actively preventing BJP from holding rallies in open public spaces, forcing their gatherings to take place in paddy fields instead. “Our leaders and supporters are compelled to hold rallies in paddy fields, which ironically symbolize the hard work and relentless labor of Bengal’s farmers,” he remarked.
Deb’s reference to the paddy fields was deliberate, drawing attention to the plight of the farming community in Bengal. “In a country where a significant portion of the population depends on agriculture, we stand proudly in the paddy fields to raise the voice of farmers who are being deprived of their political and social rights by the current oppressive regime,” he added.
Biplab Kumar Deb’s speech also underlined the BJP’s commitment to restoring political rights and social justice to the marginalized sections of society, including farmers and laborers, in Bengal.

The BJP’s growing presence and vocal criticism of the TMC government in West Bengal have added new dimensions to the political landscape of the state, which has traditionally been dominated by the TMC and left-wing parties.
As Bengal approaches crucial elections, Biplab Kumar Deb’s firm stance on eradicating syndicates and his promise of swift action if BJP comes to power will likely resonate with voters frustrated by corruption and lack of development.
