In shooting, army shooter Ajay Kumar won gold in the men’s 10-meter air pistol at the 68th National Shooting Championship Competitions today. Karnataka’s Jonathan Gavin Antony also starred, capping a standout campaign by winning gold across the sub-youth, youth and junior categories at the Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range in Delhi.
Ajay topped the final with 241.1 points, edging Railways’ Shubham Bisla by one point, with Haryana’s Anmol Jain taking bronze. In shotgun events, Tamil Nadu clinched the senior and junior trap mixed team titles, beating Madhya Pradesh and Haryana, respectively, in closely fought finals.
