In Jammu & Kashmir, the voting for four Rajya Sabha seats in Jammu & Kashmir began this morning, with sitting legislators arriving to cast their votes, at J&K Legislative Assembly Complex in Srinagar. This marks the first such election in the Union Territory since 2019 while ending a decade-long gap. Three polling booths have been set up inside the Legislative Complex premises. Official sources said that over 70 MLAs including J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah cast their votes in the ongoing Rajya Sabha by 12:00 noon in the election. Polling will continue until 4 pm, with results expected by 5 pm.
