After facing an early setback in the first quarter, the hosts bounced back and established control over the game till last. Manpreet Singh, Sukhjeet Singh, Shilanand Lakra, and Vivek Sagar Prasad scored one goal each. Skipper Harmanpreet Singh expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance.
With this win, India now tops the Super Four group with four points, also featuring Korea, Malaysia and China. India will play China next in the Super 4 Pool stage tomorrow. In other matches, China stunned Korea 3-0 in a Super 4 clash, maintaining their chances of finishing in the top two and reaching the final, while Bangladesh beat Kazakhstan 5-1 in a playoff.
