Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano erupted again, marking the 32nd eruptive episode since December last year. The volcano fired the lava 100 meters into the sky from its summit crater. So far, all the lava from this eruption has been contained within the summit crater inside Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and hasn’t threatened homes or buildings. Notably, Kilauea is one of the world’s most active volcanoes, situated on Hawaii Island, the largest in the Hawaiian archipelago. It’s approximately 320 kilometres south of Honolulu, the state’s largest city, which is located on the island of Oahu.
