Aligned with ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’

Dr. Saha emphasized that the state’s roadmap is aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Viksit Bharat 2047” mission, which envisions an inclusive, secure, and prosperous India at the centenary of independence.
“We have to work towards realizing the target of building a $124 billion economy in Tripura, and every citizen has a vital role to play,” he said.

He highlighted that Tripura is the first northeastern state to prepare such a forward-looking vision document.

Achievements So Far

Sharing the state’s progress, the Chief Minister said Tripura’s Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) rose by 14.21% in 2023-24, placing the state second among the northeastern states. Tripura also secured the second position in per capita income in the region.

Dr. Saha noted Tripura’s unique achievement in the Panchayat Advancement Index 2.0, where 100% Gram Sabhas were conducted across all panchayats. Along with Kerala, Tripura is one of only two states in India to reach this milestone.

Tripura Achieves Full Literacy

The Chief Minister proudly announced that Tripura recently became the third fully literate state in India after Goa and Mizoram. By implementing the ULLAS (Understanding Lifelong Learning for All in Society) programme, the state achieved a literacy rate of 95.6%.
“This is a matter of great pride for every citizen of Tripura,” he said.

Employment and Women Empowerment

Addressing opposition criticism, Dr. Saha revealed that since 2018, the BJP-led government has provided 19,742 government jobs, along with thousands of employment opportunities through outsourcing and self-employment schemes.

Highlighting women’s empowerment, the CM said that of the six lakh self-help group members in Tripura, 1,08,281 women have become ‘Lakhpati Didis’ through entrepreneurial ventures. Beyond financial success, these women have inspired sustainable livelihoods across rural areas.

Healthcare and Governance Reforms

Dr. Saha further announced that under the Chief Minister’s Jan Arogya Yojana (CM-JAY), 4.26 lakh families, including government employees not covered under PM-JAY, are eligible for ₹5 lakh health insurance coverage. Tripura is also the first state in India to implement the e-office platform up to the gram panchayat level, ensuring transparency and efficiency.

Trade and Global Outreach

The Chief Minister said efforts are underway to expand international trade, particularly exporting Tripura’s value-added products to South Asian markets, including Bangladesh.

He also underlined Tripura’s growth potential in education, healthcare, infrastructure, tourism, agriculture, IT, and renewable energy, stressing that innovation will pave the way for self-reliance and global recognition.

Collective Effort Towards ‘Atmanirbhar Tripura’

“Our vision is to build an Atmanirbhar Tripura—a self-reliant state that empowers every citizen. Guided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s emphasis on inclusiveness, self-reliance, and innovation, we are working to ensure that Tripura becomes a proud partner in building a developed India by 2047,” Dr. Saha said.
