Tripura Minister Ratan Lal Nath demands swift justice for the murder of teenager Daniel Debbarma, assuring the bereaved family of immediate action. Visiting the victim’s home, he pressed police for urgent arrests. The brutal assault has shocked Mohanpur, igniting calls for swift justice and stronger youth protection.

Tripura’s Minister for Power, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Ratan Lal Nath, has called for the immediate arrest of those involved in the brutal murder of teenager Daniel Debbarma. The incident, which has left the local community in shock and grief, took place in the Teirajbari area of the Mohanpur constituency. Daniel, a Class 10 student from the Biramohan area, was allegedly attacked by miscreants while returning home with friends.

The attack occurred late in the evening when Daniel and his companions were ambushed by a group of assailants. The teenage boy sustained critical injuries and was rushed to GBP Hospital in Agartala. Despite doctors’ efforts, Daniel succumbed to his injuries the next day, triggering widespread anger and sorrow in the region.

Upon returning from Delhi, Minister Nath immediately visited Daniel’s residence along with executive member Runeil Debbarma, BAC Chairman Randhir Debbarma, and a group of party workers. During the visit, the minister met the grieving family and expressed his deep condolences. He also assured them that the state government would extend all necessary support and that justice would be delivered without delay.

“The entire region is overwhelmed with grief and anger. The boy had his whole life ahead of him. This kind of violence is unacceptable,” Nath told reporters outside the family’s home. “Even though I was in Delhi when I heard the news, I was deeply disturbed. I have directed the police to act without hesitation.”

According to reports, the police have already recovered a motorcycle believed to be linked to the assailants. Minister Nath confirmed that investigators are actively following leads and taking every possible step to apprehend the culprits. He said both the Superintendent of Police and the local Officers-in-Charge have been instructed to prioritize the case and ensure justice is swiftly served.

Nath also visited the family of another youth who was injured during the same incident, offering solidarity and moral support. He emphasized that the government stands firmly with the victims and their families during this difficult time.

“The bereaved family wants justice, and so do we,” Nath reiterated. “I have made it absolutely clear that immediate and stringent action is expected. No delay will be tolerated. We are hopeful that the culprits will be arrested soon and brought to justice.”

The fatal assault has sent shockwaves across Mohanpur and neighboring regions. Social media platforms have seen an outpouring of grief and outrage, with many users demanding the strictest punishment for those responsible. Community leaders and local organizations have also voiced their concern and have called for peace and solidarity while urging law enforcement agencies to act decisively.

This tragic loss of a young life filled with dreams and potential has reignited conversations about youth safety and law enforcement efficiency in the region. Residents are demanding enhanced patrolling in vulnerable areas and faster response mechanisms to ensure such incidents are not repeated.
