Ambassa, Nov 4: Seven Rohingyas, including three women, were arrested in Tripura while traveling from West Tripura district to North Tripura on Thursday night, police said.
Ambassa police during routing check stopped one vehicle at Brtbagan Naka point on National Highway-08 with seven passengers. And during search they revealed their identity as Bangladeshi, a police official said on Friday.
According to police, the seven Rohingyas including three women fled from Bangladesh camp and illegally entered Tripura through Sonamura border. They were produced in a court on Friday.
The seven detained Rohingyas are- Md. Ikbal Hossain, Abdul Gafur, Azim Ullah, Md. Jahangir Alam, Jannat Ara, Sadiya Begam and Dilbahar Begam.
