The present government has tried to use animal husbandry as a tool for financial development of the rural people of the state. Animal husbandry of the state is being assisted in different ways by ARDD within a short span of time. Animal Resource Development Minister, Bhagaban Chandra Das said this while inaugurating the distribution programme of hybrid of cows in Dharmanagar

Minister also said that thousands of animal keepers are being helped under the Mukhyamantri Swanirbhar Parivar Yojana. Production of eggs and meat in the state has increased more than before. State farms are being revamped through modernization. All these are being done for the convenience of animal husbandry in the state. The number of female calves is being increased through the use of sex-sorted semen under the Mukhyamantri Unnot Godhan Scheme. Animal breeders are also benefiting from this.
