The Tripura Cabinet, led by Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, has greenlit a major recruitment initiative to address staff shortages across key departments. Announced on Friday at the civil secretariat, the decision includes the creation and fulfillment of 1,566 posts for Graduate and Under-Graduate Teachers in the Education Department. This includes 467 Graduate and 467 Under-Graduate teacher positions to be recruited by the Teachers Recruitment Board, Tripura (TRBT).
Additionally, the Rural Development Department will see 198 Junior Engineers (Civil) positions filled—105 degree holders and 93 diploma holders—through the Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC).
