A 2 day workshop has been conducted by NCERT PARAKH in collaboration with PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) New Delhi from November 21 and 22 last at PM SHRI Kamini Kumar Singha Memorial School under West Tripura District.
The National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCF-SE) emphasizing on vocational education as an important component of holistic development new century, the role of PARAKH in setting standards of curriculum and assessment or vocational education becomes important.
As a step in that direction, this 2 day workshop has been organized with 80 students of class IX-X in KKSM School, Agartala.
On November 21the Inaugural session was conducted by lighting the lamp and singing the National Anthem. Prof. Indrani Bhaduri, CEO, NCERT PARAKH, has conveyed her best wishes for conducting the workshop, and Shalini S. Sharma, Assistant Secretary General, PHDCCI has delivered a speech on the motive of the workshop. Utpal Chakraborty, Jt SPD, Samagra Shiksha, Tripura has delivered his speech regarding the workshop and Palash Sen, Joint Secretary, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, New Delhi has delivered his speech on the inaugural session.
Rupan Ray, District Education Officer(I/C), West Tripura District, Shib Shankar Paul, HM and Kishor Datta, AHM, PM SHRI Kamini Kumar Singha Memorial School were present during inaugural session. The whole workshop has been presented by the Resource Person from NCERT PARAKH.
The aim of the workshop is to provide guidance to the students about their career prospects and to give importance of knowledge to the artificial intelligence (Al) in current scenario. The students are promoted to choose non-traditional/ non- conventional career options based on skills and various vocational courses. They were being explained about the various career opportunities of 36 registered sector skills council by National Skill Development Corporation, New Delhi.
Day 2 of the workshop focuses on Al and how it can be used. Students were made to do activities on the 4Cs of soft skills and also on the basis of knowledge of the 36 sector skills councils.
