Three youth arrested from Tripura’s Sepahijala district for having suspected links with Bangladeshi terror outfit JMB (Jamaat-Ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh) once again arrested by Assam Police on Sunday in connection with a case registered in Assam. The trio were arrested based on the inputs of Central Intelligence Agencies and subsequently granted conditional bail by Sepahijala district Court.

SDPO Sonamura Banoj Biplab Das said, “They have been once again arrested in connection with a case registered in Assam. They had been produced before the Court with remand prayer but the Court sent them to Jail Custody till April 16”.

A team of Jogighopa Police Station, in Bongaigaon of Assam reached Kathalia area under Jatrapur police station and arrested the three suspects-Abul Kashem (33), Hamid Ali (38) and Imran Hossen (24), all residents of west Khaidya Khala village.

They were produced before ere the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Sonamura and a transit remand was prayed for taking them to Assam. However, the court’s decision remained pending.

Police sources said, they were earlier arrested after Tripura Police got some inputs regarding their involvement with JMB. After interrogation of almost 24 hours, they were produced before the Court. The Court granted them conditional bail.

On March 13 last month, Jaheer Uddin and Akhil Ahmed were arrested in Bhopal and the intelligence sleuths got a clue of Imran’s involvement from them.

After interrogation, Imram allegedly divulged the names of Hameed Ali (34) and Abul Kashem (32). Hameed is a farmer by profession while Abul Kashem is a teacher in Madrasa. The trio was shifted to Bishalgarh police station immediately after detention for interrogation.
