The MLA from Ambassa, Chittaranjan Debbarma and his personal security guard sustained minor injuries in a road accident on Tuesday. The incident occurred on the national highway at the 47 Miles area of Atharamura as they were traveling from Ambassa to Agartala.
Debbarma’s official vehicle collided head-on with an oncoming lorry, resulting in significant damage to the vehicle.
Mungiakami police promptly arrived at the scene, providing immediate assistance and transporting both the MLA and his guard to the hospital.
Both are reported to have sustained minor injuries. Further investigations are underway to determine the cause of the collision.
