Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Dr L. Murugan has stressed the adoption of artificial intelligence tools to boost productivity and enhance governance. He said that with AI-powered, data-driven decision-making, civil servants can focus on high-impact areas of governance, ensuring better service delivery and innovation within their departments. The Minister added that AI tools like ChatGPT and Gemini can enhance productivity and reduce the burden of repetitive tasks.

On the iGOT Karmayogi Portal, Dr. L. Murugan highlighted that the Ministry conducted three webinars focused on social media use, the evolution of film viewing, and photography skill enhancement. He also commended the Ministry’s innovative approach, including the establishment of an iGOT lab, which he described as a commendable step toward fostering continuous learning. The Minister was the Chief Guest at the National Learning Week 2024 prize distribution ceremony and the inauguration of the iGOT lab and learning centre, celebrating the culmination of Karmayogi Saptah. On this occasion, the Minister felicitated the top performers. Information and Broadcasting Secretary Sanjay Jaju, Special Secretary Neerja Shekhar, and senior officers of the Ministry were also present. Karmayogi Saptah—National Learning Week is a key initiative launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to build a future-ready civil service.
