A two-day annual training program for members of Land Port Internal Grievance Committees began on Wednesday at the Land Port Training Centre in Agartala. The event aims to boost awareness and operational efficiency among committee members from across the country.

The inauguration was graced by Kiran Gitte, Secretary of the Industry and Commerce, Health, and Family Welfare Departments, Advocate General Siddharth Shankar Dey, and Rekha Raikar Kumar, Member (Finance) of the Land Ports Authority of India (LPAI).

Advocate General Dey emphasized the importance of the training, calling it a vital step towards improving grievance committee operations. Rekha Raikar Kumar, a key resource person from LPAI, highlighted that the sessions would focus on grievance redressal best practices, ensuring timely and effective issue resolution.

The participants will also engage in interactive workshops and discussions to better understand their responsibilities, Kumar added.

Kiran Gitte underscored LPAI’s commitment to enhancing grievance redressal mechanisms to benefit stakeholders and the public. He also encouraged attendees to explore Tripura’s renowned tourist attractions during their stay.
