Test cricket: India scored 339 for 6 at stumps against Bangladesh

India were 339 for 6 at stumps on the first day of the first Test of two-match series being played between India and Bangladesh at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Ravichandran Ashwin scored his sixth test century and was batting on 102 while Ravindra Jadeja was unbeaten on 86 at the end of the first day of play.  For Bangladesh, Hasan Mahmud took 4 wickets. Earlier, the visitors won the toss and opted to field.
