In a significant boost to tourism in Tripura, Sachindranagar Colony is set to become a major attraction for both residents and visitors, including children. Under the Swadesh Darshan Scheme, initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state’s Tourism Department has announced plans to construct a world-class amusement park in the area. The project has been allocated a budget of Rs 50 crore and will be spread over an expansive area of approximately 75 acres.
On Wednesday, Minister for Transport and Tourism, Sushanta Chowdhury, conducted a site visit to Sachindranagar Colony, located in the Jirania subdivision, to finalize the plans for the proposed amusement park. Accompanied by local leaders and officials, Chowdhury emphasized the park’s potential to promote tourism in the region and create a vibrant space for the amusement of people of all age groups.
The amusement park will feature a variety of attractions, including a dedicated play area for children, a cafeteria, and other modern facilities to ensure a pleasant experience for visitors. Designed with ecotourism in mind, the park is expected to become a key attraction in the region, drawing visitors from across the state and beyond.
In addition to its recreational value, the project is also poised to provide substantial employment opportunities for the local population. Minister Chowdhury announced that one family member of those who donate land for the park’s construction will be given a job within the park, ensuring that the community directly benefits from the development.
This initiative under the Swadesh Darshan Scheme is a significant step forward in boosting Tripura’s tourism sector and providing a world-class destination for locals and tourists alike. The amusement park is expected to not only enhance the region’s appeal but also contribute to the local economy by creating jobs and attracting visitors.
