Two conmen who hacked the government sites and siphoned off Pradhan Mantri Matri Bandhana Yojana funds were arrested by Tripura Crime Branch. A case of fraud had been registered at Kailashahar police station earlier. They had operated as Black Hats from Bihar and targedde Tripura.
The fraudsters- Navneet Kumar and Vinod Kumar, arrested from Samastipur in Bihar, were taken to Agartala on Sunday.
Tripura Crime Branch initiated a probe in connection with the fraud and tracked the duo at a location of Bihar by using modern technology. Finally, a team reached Bihar and picked them up.
According to sources, the Crime Branch succeeded to nab the fraudsters through tracking and they would be produced before the court on Monday.
The fraudsters, both residents of Bihar, were taken to New Capital Complex police station where they underwent preliminary interrogation.
