C. Rangarajan, the 19th Governor of the Reserve Bank of India, will address the 58th Annual Conference of The Indian Econometric Society (TIES) at Tripura University’s Department of Economics. This is for the first time the conference will be held in the state, with the event scheduled to run from February 22 to 24. Besides, it will also be former RBI Governor C. Rangarajan’s first visit to Tripura which is emerging as an important hub for country’s economic activities spanning South East Asia in line with Act East police of the government.
The conference itself is likely to be attended by approximately 400 research scholars with a strong background in economics, who have received invitations from the organizing committee to attend. The Indian Econometric Society (TIES) is known for its annual conferences, which bring together leading economists and researchers from across the nation to discuss critical economic issues and shape policy frameworks for universal prosperity through research endeavors.
