The Santirbazar Sub-Divisional Level Youth Festival was organized on December 26 at Santirbazar Community Hall by the department of Youth and Sports Affairs as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The festival was graced and inaugurated by Vice-Chairperson of Santirbazar Municipal Council (SMC) Satyabrata Saha in presence of Councilor of SMC Shyamlal Debnath. The inauguration programme was followed by various cultural and musical performances by local and renowned artistes of Santirbazar sub-division.

The main objective of the youth festival is to provide a platform and to bring the youth of the sub-division together in an attempt to provide them an opportunity to showcase their talents through various activities, said an official of Sports and Youth Affairs department.

Vice-Chairperson of SMC Satyabrata Saha while addressing said, the youth of this sub-division must come forward and exchange their social and cultural uniqueness to make our country a great nation.

The aim of the festival was also to provide a nationwide exposure to the youth for the expansion and fulfillment of their cultural talents and aspirations. Many school students of Santirbazar Higher Secondary School, Kendriya Vidyalaya, and local artistes of SMC area have participated in different competitive events like Folk Dance, Folk songs, Hindustani Vocal Solo, Tabla, Flute, and other events.
