The first edition of the Women’s T20 World Cup for the Blind got underway in New Delhi. Six teams – India, Sri Lanka, the USA, Nepal, Australia, and Pakistan – are participating in the tournament. The opening match is being played between India and Sri Lanka.
Jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka, the competition will be held till 23rd of this month. The final will be played in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The opening ceremony witnessed the presence of former Union Ministers Anurag Thakur and Meenakshi Lekhi. Ms Lekhi is the chairperson of the organising committee.
