Old persons have gained lots of experience over the time. Instead of neglecting them, we must make use of the wisdom and experience of the old persons for the welfare of the society. It is because of the sincere efforts of the Prime Minister that development in Tripura has sped up. The state-grown fruits such as Jackfruits, Scented lemons, Pineapples etc., are now being exported abroad. As a result, the farmers are economically getting benefitted. He said, this new building of Old Age Home has been built with modern earthquake resistant Green Technology. He said, the present state government is working with the mantra- Niyam, Niti and Nishtha. The state government is not only providing houses to poor families but also is providing 2 thousand rupees to the Antyodaya families to perform last rites on the death of their relatives.

Social Welfare & Social Education Minister Santana Chakma said, it is the state government’s duty to work for the welfare of the senior citizens. With the sincere efforts of the state government, the poor and old persons are able to avail free health treatments under Ayushman Bharat scheme.
