Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who arrived this evening in Visakhapatnam will lead tomorrow’s grand yoga session along the city’s scenic coastline.  He will be joined by over three lakh participants, including 11,009 naval personnel. The event will take place across a 26-kilometre stretch from RK Beach in Visakhapatnam to Bhogapuram, with the event aiming to set a new Guinness World Record.
Simultaneously, yoga demonstrations will take place at more than 1.5 lakh locations across Andhra Pradesh. That includes aboard Indian Naval and Coast Guard ships anchored off the Visakhapatnam coast.
To mark the occasion, the “Visakhapatnam Yoga Declaration” will be released tomorrow as a joint pledge by the Centre and State to promote yoga as a part of everyday life. The Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu conducted a high-level review of the final arrangements, aiming to make the event a historic milestone in India’s wellness journey.
