Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has called upon the newly appointed Vice Chancellor of Tripura University, Professor Dr. Debabrata Das, to lead the institution towards national recognition by strengthening academic standards, research, innovation, and institutional reforms. The appeal came during a significant meeting held between the Chief Minister and the Vice Chancellor, where the future direction of the state’s premier university was discussed in detail.

During the meeting, Professor Dr. Debabrata Das presented a comprehensive five-year roadmap aimed at enhancing the quality of education and transforming Tripura University into one of India’s leading higher education institutions. The roadmap focuses on improving academic standards, promoting cutting-edge research, encouraging innovation, upgrading infrastructure, and implementing reforms that will elevate the university’s overall performance.

Expressing confidence in the capabilities of the newly appointed Vice Chancellor, Chief Minister Dr. Saha congratulated Professor Das on assuming the responsibility and expressed hope that his leadership would usher in a new era of academic excellence for the university. He stressed that the progress of a state is closely linked to the quality of its educational institutions and that universities play a pivotal role in shaping intellectual growth, research, and skilled human resources.

The Chief Minister stated that Tripura University should not limit its aspirations to regional achievements but should strive to establish itself among the country’s top institutions. He emphasized that quality education, innovation, and research must remain at the core of the university’s mission to secure national recognition and improve its academic standing.

Dr. Saha assured the Vice Chancellor of the State Government’s complete support in implementing reforms and development initiatives necessary for achieving the university’s long-term goals. He said the government remains committed to creating an environment that promotes higher education and academic excellence across Tripura.

Professor Dr. Debabrata Das shared his vision for the institution and highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts involving the university administration, faculty members, students, and the government to successfully execute the proposed five-year development plan.
