Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha revealed on Saturday that the government is contemplating the establishment of a dedicated Eye Hospital in the state. He disclosed this during his address at the 11th State Conference of the All-Tripura Ophthalmological Society held at a private hotel in Agartala.

Dr. Saha emphasized the government’s commitment to healthcare accessibility and affordability, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision. He highlighted the introduction of a Dental College and a Nursing College, along with plans for a Homeopathy College and a specialized Eye Hospital, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen medical infrastructure.

Underlining the priority given to enhancing health services, Dr. Saha urged doctors to approach patient care with a spirit of service (Seva). The event also saw the felicitation of veteran doctors Dr. Harsa Bhattacharjee and Dr. Pranab Ranjan Chowdhury by the society.

The event witnessed the felicitation of two esteemed doctors, Dr. Harsa Bhattacharjee and Dr. Pranab Ranjan Chowdhury, by the All-Tripura Ophthalmological Society. Dr. M.S. Chatterjee, Dr. B.K. Paul, Dr. B.N. Gupta, and Dr. Samar K. Basak also addressed the delegates, contributing to the discourse on advancing healthcare in the state.
