On the occasion of the 39th death anniversary of the late Indian Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi, a solemn commemoration was held in front of the Pradesh Congress headquarters.
The day was observed as “Sacrifice Day,” where leaders from various frontal organizations of Pradesh Congress gathered to honor the memory of the Iron Lady of India.
While honoring her memory, TPCC president Asish Kumar Saha emphasized the profound sacrifice made by Indira Gandhi for the nation’s integrity.
He also criticized the current BJP-led government, both at the state and center, for their perceived “anti-people” policies and expressed that many of the programs initiated by the former Prime Minister, along with the UPA government, continue to be effective, while the present government has mainly altered the names of existing schemes
In addition to these tributes, Pradesh Mahila Congress and Youth Congress jointly organized a blood donation camp at the GB Hospital Blood Bank to honor Indira Gandhi’s legacy of service and sacrifice.
TPCC president Asish Kumar Saha, MLA Gopal Roy, and others extended their greetings to the voluntary blood donors, acknowledging their contribution to this noble cause.
