Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) has announced that the evaluation process for this year’s Madhyamik and Higher Secondary examinations will begin on May 2nd in six different venues across Agartala. Speaking at a press conference, TBSE President Dr. Bhabatosh Saha informed that the evaluation process would involve 110 head examiners along with 2,652 examiners and scrutinizers who will evaluate approximately 4.4 lakh answer scripts.

The six venues where the evaluation will take place include Bani Vidyapith H S School, Bodhjung Girls’ HS School, Netaji Subhas Vidyaniketan, UK Academy English Medium School, Bardowali Class XII School and MTB Girls’ HS School. To facilitate the evaluation process, answer scripts will be supplied to examiners in packets of 18 answer-scripts, which an Examiner will have to examine (answer-scripts of 70/80 marks) a day. For answer-scripts of lesser marks, proportionately more answer-scripts will be examined by an examiner per day.

This year, 38,130 Madhyamik candidates were enrolled, while 33,453 candidates were enrolled for Higher Secondary examination, which includes 121 Madrasa Alim Candidates with Madhyamik and 62 Madrasa Fazil candidates along with H S (+2) candidates. The board is taking all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of examiners during the evaluation process in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The evaluation of answer scripts is a crucial process in the education system, as it determines the performance of students in the exams. The board officials have urged the examiners to be fair and impartial during the evaluation process to ensure that students receive the grades they deserve. The announcement of the evaluation process has brought relief to students and their families who have been waiting eagerly for the results of their hard work.
