Union Minister for Ports, Shipping, Waterways and AYUSH Sarbananda Sonowal will be arriving in Tripura on a one-day tour on Tuesday.
A BJP press note said, Sonowal will first join a Nagarik Sabha at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan and discuss on ‘Atmanirbhar Aarthabebastha Budget 2022’ with participation of BJP intellectual cell, BJP Pensioners’ Cell, BJP Trade Cell, Tripura Merchant Association, Tripura Industry Owners Association and Other Business Chambers and Commerce Association.
He will have discussions with Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb officials of Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) and AYUSH department at State Guest House. He will leave the state at 4.50 pm on the same day.
The Union Minister will have with Tripura BJP chief Prof. Manik Saha followed by a press conference.
Sonowal is also scheduled to hold interactions with BJP office bearers at party’s state headquarters.
It will be Sonowal’s maiden visit to Tripura after his induction in the union cabinet. The BJP state unit has geared up preparations to welcome Sonowal.
