The Union government has granted permission to install four synthetic football turfs in Tripura said Sports and Youth Affairs minister Susanta Chowdhury.

“Apart from that, proposal has been sent to the central government to set up sports complex in every district of the state. Through these sports complex, it will be possible to bring the new talents to state-level and national-level. The state government is working to build Drug-free Tripura by prioritising sports as the Chief Minister have announced already”.

The minister was speaking at the friendly cricket match was organised between Sepahijala Forest Headquarter and District Forest Staffs at Nature Learning Centre campus in Sepahijala yesterday. The match was organized jointly by forest department and Vivekananda Vichar Mancha.

In his speech the YAS Minister hoped that more youth participate in other sports besides.

Sepahijala District Magistrate & Collector Vishwashree B. and District Forest Officer Animesh Das delivered their speech in the programme. Others present in the programme were Chairman of Tripura Khadi & Village Industries Rajib Bhattacharjee, Vivekananda Vichar Mancha State Committee Member Gautam Majumdar, socialist Bipul Dey and officials of the forest department.Sepahijala District Forest Office won with super over.
