A PRAYAAS programme was organized at the premises of Waighati JB School in Chaigaria ADC Village under Jampuijala sub-division on June 11 with the initiative of TSR 7th Battalion. Tribal Welfare Minister Rampada Jamatia inaugurated the programme. The Minister said, the main factor for development is maintaining peace and prosperity. Everyone has to come forward for this purpose. Only then the nation and the society will develop. Water filters were distributed to 28 families of Waighati area of Jampuijala block from the Panchayat Development Fund in the programme. A water filter was distributed to each family. Apart from that, mosquito nets were distributed to 28 families on behalf of TSR 7th Battalion in the programme, where each family was provided with one mosquito net. The items were handed over to the beneficiaries by Tribal Welfare Minister Rampada Jamatia. TSR 7th Battalion Commandant H. K. Acharya said, the TSR 7th Battalion has taken the responsibility to build Waighati village into an ideal village. ARDD department also organized an animal treatment camp in the programme, where 20 animals were checked up and free medicines were given.

Other dignitaries present during the programme were Additional DM of Sepahijala district Subhashish Banerjee, Sepahijala District Development Official Haimayanti Rai Barman, Jampuijala SDM Sanjit Debbarma, BDO Joydeep Debbarma and other officials. Tribal Welfare Minister also had visited different sites in Waighati village where different developmental works have been implemented and had interacted with the beneficiaries.
