TRMSS holds Amrit Mahotsov

Tripura Rajya Mahavidyalaya Shaikshik Sangh (TRMSS) celebrated ‘Swatantrata ka Amrit Mahotsov” on June 11 last.

President of ABRSM as well as the Chief Guest of the program inaugurated the ceremony.

Among the speakers were Prof. Ganga Prasad Prasain, Vice -Chancellor of Tripura University Prof. Sukanta Banik, president TBSS, special guest Mahendra Kapoor , organizing secretary ABRSM , Prof. J.P Singhal, the President of ABRSM, Dr. Arjun Gope, president of TRMSS, Dr. Dhirendra Debnath, organizing secretary of TRMSS, Nikhil Niwaskar ji , Prant pracharak , Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh.

Keynote address was delivered by the chief guest J.P.Singhal.

Posthumous felicitation was given to Late Pramathnath Bhattacharya, an eminent freedom fighter of Tripura which was followed felicitation of two martyrs Bijoy Debbarma and Rabi Kumar Debbarma posthumously.

While Tirthram Reang, general secretary of TRMSS gave welcome address Rupanjal Debbarnma , programme coordinator gave vote of thanks.

Youth died in Drug Rehab Center

A 25 years old youth from Dharmanagar died mysteriously at a drug rehabilitation center called Disha Foundation in Silchar in Assam. According to reports, to get Bapun Das free from drugs addiction he was sent to Disha Foundation, a drug rehabilitation center at Silchar Kalibari Road, about two months ago. Sunday evening the family members were informed about his death over phone. Upon hearing the news of Bapon’s sudden death, the family members rushed to Silchar. With the help of Sadar Police, they went to Disha Foundation and saw Bapon’s body. After completing the post-mortem examination of Bapon at Silchar Medical College, the deceased was taken to his home.
