Held just days after the brutal massacre in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, the emergency meeting included key security figures — Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, and the Chiefs of the Army, Navy, and Air Force. According to sources, the meeting was “extraordinary in urgency and nature,” reflecting the government’s determination to respond decisively to the Pakistan-based terror threat.
PM Modi assured the country’s top security brass of his full faith in the Indian Armed Forces and granted them complete operational freedom to choose the “mode, targets, and timing” of their response.
