PM Modi to begin his five-nation visit, To reach Ghana on 1st leg this afternoon –

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a five-nation visit to Ghana, Trinidad and Tobago, Argentina, Brazil, and Namibia today. On the first leg, the Prime Minister will undertake a visit to Ghana. This will be his first-ever bilateral visit to Ghana. The Prime Minister will hold talks with the President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo, not John Dramani Mahama. Both nations will review the strong bilateral partnership and discuss further avenues to enhance economic, energy, and defence collaboration and development cooperation.
 
 
On the second leg of his visit, Mr. Modi will be visiting Trinidad and Tobago from tomorrow. He will hold talks with the President of Trinidad and Tobago, Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar. The Prime Minister is also expected to address a Joint Session of the Parliament of the island nation.
 
 
On the third leg of his visit, which begins on Friday, the Prime Minister will travel to Argentina. The Prime Minister is expected to hold bilateral talks with President Milei. Both leaders will review ongoing cooperation and discuss ways to further enhance India-Argentina partnership in key areas, including defence, agriculture, mining, oil and gas, renewable energy, trade and investment.
 
 
In the fourth leg of his visit, the Prime Minister will travel to Brazil from 5th to 8th July to attend the 17th BRICS Summit 2025, followed by a State Visit. This will be the Prime Minister’s fourth visit to Brazil. The 17th BRICS Leaders’ Summit will be held in Rio de Janeiro. During the Summit, the Prime Minister will exchange views on key global issues, including reform of global governance, peace and security, strengthening multilateralism, responsible use of artificial intelligence, climate action, global health, and economic and financial matters.
 
 
In the last leg of his visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Namibia on 9th July. This will be the first visit by the Prime Minister to Namibia, and the third ever Prime Ministerial visit from India to Namibia. During his visit, the Prime Minister will hold bilateral talks with President Nandi-Ndaitwah.
