The Norway Chess 2026 kicks off in Oslo, Norway, today with Round one matches. The tournament officially begins at 8:30 PM IST. For the first time in its 13-year history, the super-tournament has moved from Stavanger to the capital city of Oslo, hosting its matches at the iconic Deichman Bjørvika public library.
This will be the 14th edition of Norway Chess and the third edition of Norway Chess Women. The prestigious six-player Open and Women’s categories feature top grandmasters, including Magnus Carlsen, D. Gukesh, and R. Praggnanandhaa.
