Labour Minister opens SHG products’ exhibition
An exhibition of products made by different Self-Help Groups was organized at the premises of Gouranagar Block Office on June 11 with the initiative of Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission of Gouranagar Block Division. Labour Minister Bhagaban Chandra Das inaugurated the exhibition. An interaction program was also organized on the same day. Labour Minister after inaugurating the exhibition and the interaction program, said, the SHGs are playing an important role in the economic development of the rural areas. Women are taking up roles through the SHGs, which is why the government has prioritized increasing ways of income for women. The Minister then visited various stalls in the exhibition and interacted with the staffs of the stalls.
Other dignitaries present along with the Labour Minister were Sabhadhipati of Unakoti Zilla Parishad Amalendu Das, Sahakari Sabhadhipati Shyamal Das, Vice Chairman of Gouranagar Panchayat Samiti Shib Shankar Adhikari and Block BDO Rameshwar Bhattacharjee. Welcome speech was delivered by DM Uttam Kumar Chakma. The programme was presided over by Chairman of Gouranagar Panchayat Samiti Naran Singh. Total 16 SHGs took part in the exhibition.
Mega Administrative & Health Camp at Pekuarjala ADC Village
One-day Mega Administrative and Health Camp was held at Shyamnagar Bazar premises of Pekuarjala ADC Village, Jampuijla sub-division yesterday. In the camp, five pregnant women were given nutritional kits in the CM “Matru Pushti Uphaar” Scheme at the initiative of Jampuijala CDPO. The Forest Department distributed 100 saplings of agar and mahagony trees free of cost. At the initiative of Jumpuijala Sub-ZDO of TTAADC, 5 persons were given birth and death certificates and 3 persons were given trade licenses for business. Birendra Kishore Debbarma, MLA and Chairman of Jampuijala BAC and Sanjit Debbarma, Sub-Divisional magistrate of Jampuijala sub-division handed over the certificates and materials to the beneficiaries.
On behalf of the Livestock Development Department 212 domestic animals and birds were treated and medicines were given free of cost. In the camp, 8 farmers were given application forms for Prime Minister’s Honorary Project and 212 people were given application forms for KCC loans. Specialist doctors from the health department distribute free health check-ups and medicines at the camp. Of these, 120 OPD patients, 20 dental patients and 20 eye patients were treated. Of these, 13 children were treated by pediatricians. 150 patients were given free medicine. Besides, haemoglobin test of 40 people, RBC of 40 people, BS of 19 people, RD of 14 people and malaria test of 14 people were done free of cost. Free spectacles were provided to 18 people under the Chief Minister’s Mission Drishti Scheme.
A total of six income certificates and 72 PRTCs were issued by Jampuijala sub-division administration. 29 applications for marriage certificate were submitted. Of these, 22 certificates were issued in the camp itself. 67 applications were submitted for ST certificate. Of these, 49 were provided immediately. Aadhaar has been updated for 34 people and 72 affidavits have been made. Soldiers from the 7th Battalion TSR’s Quick Response Team demonstrated how to deal with natural disasters or earthquakes in the camp. The camp was attended by BDO of Jampuijala Block Joydeep Debbarma and officials of PWD, Agriculture, Fisheries and ARDD.
