If all goes according to plan, a new Tripura Bhavan will soon be established in the Dwarka locality of New Delhi. This significant development comes in response to a request made by Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, and a plot of land measuring 2930 square meters has already been allocated for the proposed facility.
During his recent visit to Delhi, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha engaged in fruitful discussions with Delhi’s Lt. Governor, V.K. Saxena, where he presented a proposal for the allocation of two plots. The Delhi Development Authority Institutional Land Branch has promptly responded by allocating one of the two proposed plots for the new Tripura Bhavan, as confirmed by the Special Chief Residence Commissioner.
In a social media post, Chief Minister Dr. Saha expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming Tripura Bhavan, emphasizing that it will serve as a significant resource for the people of Tripura. He also extended his heartfelt gratitude to Lt. Governor V.K. Saxena for facilitating the allocation of the land for this important project.
Notably, New Delhi already hosts two functioning Tripura Bhavans, serving as centers for various cultural, social, and administrative activities. The addition of this third Tripura Bhavan in Dwarka underscores the commitment to strengthening ties between Tripura and the national capital.
The future Tripura Bhavan is poised to play a pivotal role in fostering connections and enhancing services for the Tripura community residing in Delhi and visitors from the state
