Tripura government is considering strict enforcement of Covid norms in the state in view of recent surge in the disease. A high level meeting with Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb who is also Health Minister will be held on Saturday to review the Covid situation and its anticipated turn. The meeting iill take some important decision in regard to restrictions on public movements and also stricter enforcement of norms.
The Chief MInister said after the saturday meeting state government will come out with new guidelines which will be enforced across the state. He said already Covid tests etc are in force for the air passengers coming from West Bengal and other places . Some more restrictions will also be on the card -which will be decided as per the suggestions and advice of the experts.
On Friday as many as 103 persons found to be Covid positive out of 3330 tested.
In the meantime BJP has also cancelled all its porogrammes for the next 15 days including that of party president JP Nadda’s visit to the state.
