Tripura will get another express train service that will link Agartala with Jiribam in Manipur .
The Jana Shatabdi Express of the Northeast Frontier Railway will be flagged off from Agartala by Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb at 2 pm on Saturday in the virtual presence of Minister for Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw. According to sources, NFR general manager Angshul Gupta is also scheduled to attend the inaugural ceremony.
The train will run tri-weekly on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The train will have 10 coaches—two AC chair car, two second class chair car cum brake van and six second class chair car.
As per the schedule, the Agartala- Jiribum (12097) Jana Shatabdi express will depart from Agartala railway station at 6 am and reach Jiribum at 12 pm and in return journey. The train will have stoppages at Ambassa, Dharmanagar, New Karimganj, Badarpur and Arunachal.
