Germany’s Munich airport has reopened today after several drone sightings had forced the suspension of flight operations yesterday. According to the statement released by the airport, 17 flights and nearly 3000 passengers were impacted. In a statement, the airport stated, late in the evening of October 2, German air traffic control (DFS) restricted flight operations at Munich Airport and later suspended them altogether due to several drone sightings. The drone sighting in Germany is the latest in a string of such incidents happening across Europe in the past week. Earlier, airports in Poland, Norway and Denmark also suspended operations for sometime due to unidentified drone activity.
