Mumbai lashed by 200 mm rainfall; train services suspended –

Continuous heavy rainfall has lashed Mumbai and its suburban areas, recording 200 mm of rainfall since last evening. Local train services on the Central, Western, and Harbour lines have been delayed or suspended in some sections due to waterlogging and track issues. Road traffic has also been affected. Tree felling, wall collapsing incidents were also recorded in some areas. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for rain in Mumbai and surrounding areas. Citizens have been advised to avoid non-essential travel and take necessary precautions due to the heavy rainfall.
