Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy chaired a crucial preparatory meeting ahead of the upcoming Diwali Mela at the Tripura Sundari Temple. Diwali, the festival of lights, will be celebrated on October 31 this year.
Key discussions centered around ensuring the peaceful conduct of the event, which draws thousands of devotees annually. The meeting reviewed necessary arrangements, including enhanced security measures for the Mela. Ongoing rejuvenation projects within the temple premises were also discussed, with a focus on expediting work to complete them before the festivities begin.
In attendance were local MLAs Abhishek Debroy and Jitendra Majumder, along with District Magistrate Tarit Kanti Chakma, SP Gomati, and other senior officials, all working to ensure the success of the event.
