In a significant restructuring of the Tripura police administration, 33 officers from the Tripura Police Service (TPS) and Indian Police Service (IPS) have been transferred to various key positions. The reshuffle, aimed at optimizing leadership across different areas, includes the appointment of three new IPS officers as Sub-divisional Police Officers (SDPOs) and the transfer of one IPS officer to the role of Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) in South Tripura.
The three new IPS officers appointed as SDPOs are Ayush Srivastava in Kamalpur, Sudambika R in Teliamura, and Desai Rusikesh Jaising in Kanchanpur. IPS Mouryakrishna Chandrasekhar has been posted as the Additional SP of South Tripura district.
According to a government notification, several TPS officers have been reassigned to new responsibilities. Notable transfers include Kamalpur SDPO Snehashish Kumar Deb, who will now serve as SDPO of Jampuijala, and Jampuijala SDPO Jayanta Karmakar, who is transferred to SDPO Kailashahar. SDPO Kailashahar Shibu Chandra Dey has been reassigned as Deputy SP, TPCB, while SDPO Teliamura Prasun Kanti Tripura will now be SDPO Amtali. SDPO Amtali Ashish Dasgupta is transferred to the position of Asstt. Commandant of TSR 8th battalion.
The reshuffle continues with various other transfers, including the movement of Dy. SP Sepahijala Amal Chakraborty to the position of Asstt. Commandant of TSR 13th battalion, SDPO Udaipur Nirupam Datta to SDPO Ambassa, and SDPO Ambassa Nityananda Sarkar to Dy. SP, TPCB. Dy. SP, Sepahijala Ajoy Debbarma is reassigned as SDPO Udaipur.
Dy. SP(PHQ) Sabyasachi Debnath, Kamal Krishna Kalai, and Subrata Chakraborty have been transferred and posted as Dy. SP(SB). Officer in charge Sidhai PS Siddhartha Sankar Kar is reassigned as Dy. SP(West), Addl. SP(PHQ) Dhruba Nath moves to the role of Addl. SP(Rural), West Tripura, and Addl. SP(Sepahijala) Manabendra Choudhury is transferred to Addl. SP, Dhalai. Addl. SP(PHQ) Rupam Chakma will now serve as Dy. CO of TSR 15th battalion.
Additionally, several other TPS officers, including Souvik De, Suman Majumder, Chiranjib Chakraborty, Mihir Datta, Anirban Das, Justin Joseph, Mina Kumari Debbarma, Pranab Debnath, Arindam Reang, Dipankar Paul, Robert L Darlong, Nridesh Deb, and Chandan Saha, have been subjected to transfers as part of this comprehensive reshuffle.
The reshuffling aims to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of the Tripura police force by placing experienced officers in strategic positions, ensuring the continued safety and security of the region.
