Maha Navami or Durga Navami is being celebrated across the country today with religious fervour. Maha Navami marks the ninth day of Navratri festival. On this day, Goddess Durga is worshipped as Mahisasuramardini, which symbolises the victory of good over evil. The ninth day of Navratri is also dedicated to Ma Siddhidatri. On this day, the goddess is known to bless her devotees with many Siddhis (fulfillment or perfection).
