President Ram Nath Kovind will be on a two-day visit to Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir beginning today. Mr Kovind will receive Guard of Honour at the Leh airport and then he will proceed to Sindhu Ghat for Sindhu Darshan. This will be his second visit to Leh. Mr Kovind will interact with troops at Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir in the evening.
 
Tomorrow, the President, the Supreme Commander of Armed Forces, will lay wreath at Kargil War Memorial in Drass. Senior Army officials will brief him about Kargil war. Mr Kovind will also interact with the troops at the war memorial. President will celebrate Dussehra with Jawans in Drass.  AIR correspondent reports that on arrival, the President will receive Guard of Honour at the airport in Leh. After interaction with Ladakh Lieutenant Governor RK Mathur, he will proceed to Sindhu Ghat for Sindhu Darshan puja. At the Ghat, he will meet the religious leaders as well.
 
Later in the evening, Mr Kovind interact with the troops in Udhampur. On Friday, the President and the Supreme Commander of Armed Forces would lay wreath at Kargil War Memorial in Drass. Senior Army officials would brief him about Kargil war. Later the President Kovind will interact with the troops at the war memorial. Keeping the President’s visit in view to northern frontiers, elaborative security arrangements are made on the ground and in the airfield a swell.
